About our club

Chess in Orlando, every week

The Orlando Chess Club is Central Florida's premier destination for chess enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

A friendly, competitive place to play

Join us to enjoy a friendly, competitive atmosphere and improve your game through our tournaments, weekly meetups, and community events.

Some people come to chase a rating. Some come to teach their kid the game. Some come because it's a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon with people who like the same strange, beautiful thing. All of that works here. The club is deliberately built so a first-timer and an expert can both have a good day at the same tables.

  • Rated & casual play
  • Players of all ages and skill levels
  • Family-friendly meetups
  • Free to attend, no membership needed to visit

New here? Turn up at the Colonialtown Neighborhood Center on any Saturday between noon and 4:00 PM. Say hello, and someone will find you a game. You don't need to bring anything or know anyone.

Club activities

The weekly Saturday meet, casual games at cafés around the city, and the occasional exhibition against a titled player.
